On Friday, October 18, Piedmont noticed water bubbling up from Collier Road near the hospital’s loading dock. No construction work was being done in this area, so the city was notified of the leak. The city began repairing the leak beginning on Wednesday, October 23. As of Thursday, October 24 at 7 a.m., there is a metal plate in Collier Road. Piedmont’s contractor will collaborate with the city to determine when the repair will be complete. After the leak is fully repaired and metal plate removed from the road, Piedmont’s contractor will make a plan for milling, paving, and top coat on Collier Road. Therefore, there will not be a lane closure on Collier Road as planned this week. When the lane closure dates are determined, an update will be posted to this site.
Thank you for your ongoing patience as Piedmont and the city collaborate to improve the roadway and water infrastructure in the community.
