Building Update for Piedmont Atlanta Tower: Week of July 7-14

First Tower Crane Erected: Tower cranes are currently being erected in the fenced-off construction area. A total of three cranes will be erected by the end of August. Patients should not experience any greater amount of noise or vibration.

Drilling Materials: Drilling continues this week near the East Tower and the former 1-Center area. Minimal impact is expected on the hospital, but there will be additional drilling equipment inside the construction site.

Rock Blasting: Rock blasting continues this week in the fenced-off construction area. Blasting will take place every day at 2:15 p.m.

Major Site Excavation: Site excavation and dirt dumping continues in the construction site. Trucks will exit onto Peachtree Road throughout the day and may cause brief intermittent traffic. Trucks are thoroughly cleaned before exiting the construction site to ensure they do not compromise safety of patients, visitors or general traffic.

Sidewalk/Roadwork on Peachtree: Road construction along Peachtree is a separate project being conducted by a third party organization and is not affiliated with the Piedmont Atlanta Tower. Please be mindful of signage indicating sidewalk and lane closures.
