Building Update for Piedmont Atlanta Tower: Week of June 2-9

1-Center Demolition: 1-Center demolition begins May 22 and is projected to last through the end of June. During this time, there will be an increase in noise levels in the areas nearest the construction site.

In addition to noise levels, large demolition equipment will be stationed outside of the east tower.

Rock Blasting: Rock blasting continues this week towards hospital north in the fenced-off construction area. Blasting will take place every day at 2:15 p.m.

Lane Closures on Peachtree Road: Beginning June 5 and lasting for one week, crews will close Peachtree Street one lane at a time to conduct investigative potholing work. Our construction team has worked closely with GDOT to execute this process as quickly as possible. Please expect intermittent delays and traffic.

Trucks Exiting onto Collier: Flagmen will be stationed on Collier Road beginning the week of May 29 to direct trucks in and out of the construction site near the loading dock. Expect slight increases in traffic as trucks are exiting.

Throughout this summer, we will periodically route construction vehicles through Collier Road to accommodate GDOT construction projects on Peachtree Road. Construction vehicles will use Collier Road, an approved haul route, and will not use any of the neighborhood roads.
